St Regis Hotel - San Francisco, California |

An elegant addition to the skyline of San Francisco, the 42 story St. Regis Hotel & Residences recently opened next door to the Museum of Modern Art in the Yerba Buena Arts district. With luxury modern interiors by Yabu Pushelberg and distinctive architecture by SOM, the property is already receiving accolades including McGraw Hill’s “Best Mixed Use Project- California Construction” award. Its 5 star features include a “Remede” Spa and the Napa based acclaimed restaurant “Ame”. The glass, stone, and concrete tower houses 260 guestrooms, 102 residences with an adjacent historically renovated 1907 building. The residential product is established new standards in downtown San Francisco with over $1100 per square feet average sales prices. T.M. Davis & Associates were brought into the project midway through construction to manage a complete interior redesign and re-negotiation of the project GMP with the general contractor. On-site representatives managed all design consultants, value engineering, contracts and scheduling on behalf of the owner, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. |
La Posada de Santa Fe – New Mexico |

La Posada de Santa Fe is a luxury spa resort situated on a six-acre private estate in the heart of Santa Fe’s historic district. The resort’s 157 guestrooms and suites are located in adobe style casitas that date from 1938 to 1999. T.M Davis & Associates was engaged by the property owner in late August 2005 to oversee a major renovation of the guestroom bathrooms with the goal of completing the project by the end of the 2005 - 2006 winter season. To further add to the schedule challenge, no two existing bathrooms were alike and in fact were diverse in layout, shell construction and finish. The lack of “as-built” drawings further complicated pre-construction planning. Construction work commenced on the project in mid-January 2006 and the last of the four guestroom phases was completed on schedule May 1st, 2006 with minimum displacement to hotel guestroom inventory. The project was also completed well under the original $1.5M development budget. |
Westin Hotel – Detroit, Michigan |

Located within the new Midfield Terminal at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport, this four-star 396 rooms Westin property has consistently earned high accolades for its Asian-influenced design and detailed attention to guest comfort. Centered around a day lit nine-story atrium, this $120 MM hotel features state of the art guestroom soundproofing from the adjacent airport runways, marble tiled bathrooms and the Westin “Heavenly Bed and Bath” branded room amenities. Brought on board by Starwood Hotels & Resorts midway through construction, TM Davis & Associates provided field construction management services to successfully expedite the opening and turnover of the project to the hotel operating team. As part of their services, TM Davis also provided detailed contractor claims support and reconciliation assistance to ownership as part of the construction contract close-out process. |

Thunder Valley – Sacramento, California |

Just completed within the past few years, Thunder Valley Casino, was the most challenging construction project worked on by our staff. From ground breaking to opening in less than a year with over 270,000SF gross building area which included a casino, branded restaurants, drinking and entertainment facilities, bingo parlor, central plant, complete fire station, and a fully functional water treatment plant. TM Davis & Associates was engaged by both the operator, Station Casinos and the Tribe to oversee the schedule and construction processes in this complicated build-out. We also assisted in the off-site planning and development for public access roadways, 50 acres of common ground master planning and the set-off of dedicated wetlands required by the State. |
